Fingerprints for kids

Does anyone know the current status of fingerprinting for children applying for Global Entry? It says on some CBP sites that fingerprints are required for applicants over 14, but that's not quite the same as saying <14s aren't fingerprinted. I have an interview scheduled for my younger child soon, but I don't want to give up her fingerprints. When she's older, she can decide if it's worth it.

Update, in case anyone else is curious: My kid's "interview" took less than 30 seconds. They asked her name and nothing else. No fingerprints. Approval was instantaneous.
