Dang, $500 for GOLD is steep. I have Platinum now, I wonder why they're limiting it to gold? It looks like the only significant difference is the free checked bag. I think the ability to choose stretch seating at booking (rather than checkin) is currently a Platinum perk, but the status tiers page looks like they've taken that away. Is it worth it?
