Issues checking in when UA sells the tickets with Singapore Air and Hong Kong Air

Few months back, I purchase a United ticket routing out bound was Hong Kong Air - (first flight to HKG from BKK) and then UA to from HKG - SFO and then UA to IAD. Well, no issues with United ticket but when I tried to check in online on Hang Kong Air, it would not recognize my ticket. I called United 1K desk, spent considerable amount of time but no resolution. At the time of check-in next day, Hang Kong Air , could not 'find my reservations or the tickets." After spending another hour with UA on the call, they 'found the ticket." and I was able to check-in.

I am in the similar situation Today. I have flights tomorrow - Friday - HAN - SIN (on Singapore Air - not sure it may be Scoot but I think it is Singapore), then UA from SIN - SFO and then SFO - IAH on UA metal. No issues with UA tickets but when I tried to check-in online on Singapore Air website (which is much better and user friendly then UA antiquated, designed by may someone's high school nephew) I could not check-in as a 'flight segment is missing.' Again spent 1 hour and 15 minutes in two different calls and finally was told by United - 'a segment was missing and we have fixed it now.' Wait about an hour and check-in. Same issue cannot check-in - flight segment missing.

A company which is making over a billion dollars a quarter in profit, is it asking too much to have correct tickets issued and have a decent working website where you can check-in with out problems?
