It's actually a point system and not a mileage system. Each dollar you spend on a flight (including taxes) is equal to 1 point. With the double points promo going on now, each dollar is 2 points.
The points expire after 12 months, so use them or lose them (similar to how southwest expires points).
For 1500 points, you can get a free ticket anywhere they currently fly, except long-haul routes (which las vegas is the only one so far). For 3000 points, you can go to Vegas.
I've flown them several times, and have no complaints.
