Is this confirmed by the T&C? My reading of it is that it's based on when the award is "earned", not "issued". In this case, it would be earned in 2024 and the expiration would still be 2026. Happy to be proven differently however as it'll affect when I select my next few rewards!
An Award is considered “earned” by Hyatt the day it enters your account. The only exception to this would be if you hit the X night Milestone on December 31st (for non-selectable Milestone Awards such as on the 60 night Milestone) and it takes a day or two to actually hit your account.
The selection of Suite Awards in January has worked for the 70-100 night Milestones for years in having basically an extra year for expiration. This was not previously possible for the 50 night Milestone because it was automatic in getting the Suite Awards. Since it’s no longer automatic and you need to actually select the Suite Awards it should work the same.
