I called the customer service line because the reservation would start in less than 24 hours. The agent was able to find the lower price on Billabook.com and transferred me to the price-match team. My price-match request was rejected. I was told by the separate "price-match agent" that Hilton only matches prices against six websites: Expedia, Booking, Hotels.com, Priceline, Travelocity and Trip.com.
OMG, such a bs what they told you.
But faced similar bs recently, e.g.:
— “Resort & Spa” cannot be matched
— non-refundable cannot be matched
— “non-refundable” <> “cannot be canceled”
— differences of < 6 USD cannot be matched (which was 8%, btw.)
— “King City View - Balcony” <> “King City View Balcony” (difference was the “-“)
— “Yes, you are right - is lower, anything else also identical but I cannot finish the PMG from my end, sorry.”
