nothing has really changed in that sense. There are no formal exit passport controls departing the Uk - there weren’t any pre brexit either. Obviously your airline will look at your passport at check in and the gate, but for a Uk passport as no visa is required it will just be a quick look. Obviously there is now the 90 day rule which applies - but I have never had anyone even attempt to count the stamps on departing the Uk for the eu.
in terms of arriving in the Uk, if you do come you will be pleased to know eu passport holders can use e gates as a matter of routine so no lengthy queues - or certainly no more than Uk passport holders
