Who are these "some ppl" that claim this? On the contrary, from what I've always seen, referral links almost always contain lifetime language. The only links that are usually NLL are those targeted to you - they can come via email or pop up in your account when you log in. Most of the time they are for business Gold or Plat cards. (Another way to get NLL apps is via snail mail.)
