I didn’t dare argue as I’m an H1B but I use GE kiosks all the time when I return home to SFO from overseas. Should I have pushed back a bit? Worth sending in a complaint on the TTP site? Seems like really bad training.
Just hit another one of these at SFO who was adamant that SFO is special and not participating in GE benefits for NEXUS which is nonsense. Did not care for my email from CBP about the last incident which stated that I was correct at LAX that I should have been able to use the GE lane, because SFO is so very special and LAX is a whole other thing. They threatened to cancel my NEXUS membership so I just let them "win" the argument.
Wrote in to CBP again. Based on last time, I can expect a reply in 3-4 months.
The best part of all this is that as a Canadian you can't even apply for GE on its own to forgo the NEXUS benefits but avoid these problematic CBP agents. The whole point is that Canadians have to get NEXUS and they get GE benefits through NEXUS.
