As far as transportation is concerned, the Whistler Express is operated by Perimiter Coach Line:

The last bus leaves at 23:55, so I don't think you're going to make it.

I don't know about taxis - never had to take one. There are a number of cab companies in Whistler and you may be able to arrange something with them if they have a car already in Vancouver. Just go to www.canada411.com, click on Find a Business and search for "taxi" in Whistler.

It seems like your best option is probably a one way car rental from YVR. I know that Avis definitely has an office in Whistler - don't know about the rest. Just BE CAREFUL on Hwy 99 - it can be a challenging drive.

As for equipment rentals, lessons, lift tickets, etc., I think you're OK to just wait until you arrive to arrange. My guess on party passes would be to buy those in advance!
