Even earlier, there was a dance bar called "Cheeks" on Clark Street, south of Diversey. It was a tradition for eveyone to go there if they hadn't gotten "lucky" by the time the other bars closed, as they had a 4 a.m. license. The place would be packed about 2 a.m. until closing. If you didn't find someone there, it was off to breakfast with your "reamaining" friends.
I remember Cheeks - and what was that other place around there - Studio One or something? Half block up from Gold Coast Dogs?
