The mere fact you have to essentially go outside in winter in Chicago for one...
Also in my experience the train tends to be very full of passengers...and is too small.
Granted this all an exceeding minor annoyance in the scheme of travelling.
The prevalence of bus gates at European airports - LHR and T5 included - is
far more annoying (bus gates essentially don't exist in the US)
