Silly question..I signed up for CSP 5 years ago and I've been reading that folks apply for the "other" card to get the reward, so in my case sign up for CSR to get the bonus, close the CSP then downgrade CSR to something else to avoid the AF? Is that what folks are doing to churn the Sapphire bonuses, or am I imagining things?
Not a silly question, but Chase no longer allows you to get a new Sapphire card while holding another. You'd have to close the CSP or downgrade it to a card in the Freedom family before applying for the CSR. From the CSR offer details: "The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months."
