Flew JFK - CDG a couple weeks ago with the new fall menu posted above. Pre-ordered the salmon and did a dine and rest (so all food on one tray). Due to inbound delays only had about 5 minutes to see the D1 Lounge (and they were closing) so food on board ended up being primary dinner. Pretty tasty -- teriyaki is a good sauce choice for the sky.
As for the sides -- the mushroom soup thing was weird (but I don't like mushroom soup even off a plane) and the salmon appetizer was nothing to write home about. The red wine was a pretty tasty French red though.
Thanks for posting. I'll be on DL106 (JFK-FRA) early Nov and hope the salmon will still be available. I tend to go for lamb, but look forward to have some in the D1 lounge beforehand.
The red you mentioned was most likely Famille Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards Rouge (according to menu). That one retails for around double than anything served in the D1 lounge, but price doesn't necessarily mean quality, of course.
The mushroom soup was available in
June (JFK-ATH). DL must have gotten a special deal on mushrooms... But I do like mushrooms (I'm OK with being in a minority).
