Theft complaint denied.
I just had a rather odd experience. I had a dozen maybe 18 golf balls removed from my bag at some point after check-in at ATL. I explained clearly that the pocket they were in, inside my golf bag inside my golf carry case was completely zipped closed but the balls we’re missing upon arrival at my destination. I sent the complaint 4 days after arrival and the complaint/compensation was denied because I filed it 4 days after arriving….
I’ve never had an issue being compensated for any issues before and we are talking maybe 2 over the last 15 years.
Is it common to have a request for compensation denied because I waited 4 days to open my golf travel bag and look inside?
