It’s noticeable that most successful SF corruption convictions involved people getting really lousy gifts in exchange for doled favors - there are fewer gold bars and bundles of cash and more discoveries of dumb junket trips where one wonders if getting a few unnecessary travel trips was worth the loss of career, an arrest, and possible incarceration. All that shame for a holiday… At least Eric Adams consistently earned miles and free upgrades on TK.
