ETA I am such in a bubble that I assume that people know this… normal people won’t know nor care that Daniel lurie is part of the family behind Levi Strauss, a fashion brand that makes denim pants as well as an early owner of a usa sports team called The A’s who I think will exit Oakland and move to Las Vegas.

The only success daniel lurie has had involved earning more money that he inherited - he’s the candidate who never faced genuine risk nor adversity. His life is beyond charmed and the election results won’t affect his future. Thankfully in San Francisco the board of supervisors, the police, the mayor, and the school board all actually balance out their fellow entities so that it’s both hard to do too much at once within a limited power vacuum. It’s noticeable that most successful SF corruption convictions involved people getting really lousy gifts in exchange for doled favors - there are fewer gold bars and bundles of cash and more discoveries of dumb junket trips where one wonders if getting a few unnecessary travel trips was worth the loss of career, an arrest, and possible incarceration. All that shame for a holiday… At least Eric Adams consistently earned miles and free upgrades on TK.
