Bloke in front of me went through. Scanner bleeped. Silly me, he thought, and took out a gun and put in in the bowl. Went through again, no bleep this time, picked up his gun and went off and sat down. I'm travelling on this flight with someone with a gun, I thought. I hoped he was on some kind of official duty where he could keep his gun. But bear in mind this was Bolivia, where there are stalls selling dynamite in Potosi market, and that may not necessarily have been the case...
