In my experience, Select at DFW always includes a tarmac transfer. The only exception is if your gate is really close to the Flagship Lounge (think somewhere in Terminal D), in which case they may use an electric cart instead.
CLT doesn’t have a Flagship Lounge, so they don’t offer Select. But they do have the GMC Suburbans. So, if available, they will give you a tarmac transfer with just the regular $350 Five Star service. I experienced this twice last month. They also have a roped-off area reserved for you in the busy CLT Admirals Club.
the roped-off area at CLT AC is now split in 2. It used to be for one single party and now it’s for 2 (with 4 and 3 seats)
