The Sheraton Zagreb is a breath of fresh air compared to the Westin - here are my impressions and photos:
Note: I was not offered nor did I ask for (due to flight schedule) late checkout.
Pros:
- Upgraded the morning of arrival to an Executive Suite and was assigned a renovated suite with 2 full bathrooms
- Bed was fantastic - soft and clean linens, plush mattress, plush covers, plush pillows
- AC WORKED WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (admittedly, it would need to as the windows can’t be opened)
- Living room couch was comfortable
- Blackout curtains were super effective at darkening the room, even after sunrise
- Lounge on first floor was a nice space - had good cinnamon rolls in afternoon (no breakfast service) - evening happy hour from 6 to 9 - didn’t see any new desserts besides more cinnamon rolls
- Needed to pick restaurant breakfast as welcome gift (technically brand standard), but restaurant breakfast was good - order omelet from server - tasty and cheesy - no pancakes or waffles, though (maybe you can order from server?)
Neutral:
- Shower pressure was fine (not amazing, but better than the Westin)
- Welcome gift of 6 apples, tea, wine, and tea biscuits was a bit funny
Cons:
- Took 3 attempts to get working keys - first didn’t work in elevator, 2nd set didn’t work for club lounge
I would come back due to the comfy bed and working AC.
