More tipping culture out of control IMO...companies should pay their employees a fair wage to do a job and I should be paying for that in the fee I pay the Company...it shouldn't be 'un-bundled' like this where I'm meant to feel bad that Sally or Suzie only make $x/hr to clean my room so I should somehow be expected to top that up...crazy if you ask me.
Agreed. One of the main reason my wife doesn't like to go to the US is due to the tipping culture. I would be happy to pay a mandatory service charge on top of the hotel price which should cover this and stop the nonsense.
Reminds of an episode of Curb your Enthusiasm when Larry David started to tip hotel employees in theatre tickets.
