In the past, before the ID scanners, I had issues with TSA refusing my NEXUS or GE card claiming it wasn't valid. I'd point out that it was issued by their own agency and then they;d have to get out their book and each time I was eventually allowed to pass. As time went on, they began to recognize these cards as acceptable. I've not encountered a problem with them in years. But now I often use the CLEAR line where no ID is necessary.

I think the only place I've seen the picture matching machines is at EWR. I've nt tried my NEXUS card with these new machines, but I'll try to remember to do so later this week if AUS has the new machines.
