I felt that I was saying things and people were coming back seemingly replying to my posts but as if I had made a point that I hadn't made. I gave up, some time ago. I just wanted replies that actually addressed what I was saying. The thread as a whole looks to me like a big mess because people are speaking at cross purposes.
The comment above about wanting 'the last word' is yet another example of that. It's just made up stuff attributed to me that has nothing to do with what I was thinking and writing.
I said I “sense”. If I knew what you were thinking, I’d either be quiet or defending you. It’s a lack of clarity from you that has caused this thread to meander.
In this thread, you have responded to everyone who has quoted you, so you did not give up. It’s that….tenacity that makes me think perhaps you just want people to say “you’re right”.
