Ahh hockey puck desserts, AA was famous for these during Covid with the lemon or caramel tart. Sadly they still show up as the non sundae/cheese option on some flights.
I haven't had a good DL dessert all year.
I had the chocolate cake with cherry compote on my mistimed D1 dinner last week. The cake was underbaked in a way that didn't make it gooey and delish, rather it was cold and claggy (as Paul Hollywood might say) and the cake got stuck in my molars. So I got ice cream as a back up.
