The bad

The internet was an absolute mess 4 of the 6 days I was there. It kept disconnecting every 2-3 minutes. I spoke with their off property team at length twice, had tech in my room once, then sent a handyman for some reason after it still didn't work, spoke with front desk several times and message me about 100 times.

One day it went out for several hours. E e really they created my own Hub/log in hub and it worked, ie instead of Marriott bonvoy they put my room name and separate id.

This worked. But this was wholly inconvenient

2) my living blew hot air that I could change, my bedroom blew cold air that I couldn't change. I needed them to fix

3) then they fixed air con, handyman traipsed in giant muddy shoe prints. These were not cleaned for a while

4) I asked for extra water to be given eveydayz they never were

5) mini bar guy literally walked in without knocking. I was on the phone for one of the few times the internet worked. This really bothers me

Because of the internet, hotel tried to give me 5000 compensation points. I said no. They eventually gave me 10,000. I was ok with this bit still unhappy as the internet made me unproductive. But at least they tried.

Then the other stuff happened and internet collapsed again for hours so they gave me a food credit which i used for an excellent steak.

Overall, service from club and old timers was great, new timers less so. Clearly not as well run as before.but the biggest issue was the internet, hardware and cleanliness issues.

I'm ok w the compensation offered. I would stay here again. It remains my go to for Sydney with great memories last couple of decades.

The only part I'm upset about is the internet. After talking to offshore guys twice etc etc, I'm not sure why they'd send handyman to me to say I don't know why it's not working rather than tech guy who came 30 minutes later. Tech guy said he couldn't see anything wrong. The internet disconnected 4 times in the 12 minutes he was in my soon. Then he just left and nothing was fixed until I went semi ballistic 12 hours later asking why nothing was fixed. Then it was...

Good not excellent stay but probably would be excellent if you don't get the internet problems I did
just checked out this morning, guess I got lucky on Wifi!
