Hmm. Not sure what is going on with your outbound PHX-DTW segment then. A couple of last ideas:

1. I see the fare class is OV. Was an RUC or GUC used on this? There have been some reports that if there is an issue with the ticketing (or lack of reticketing) that could inhibit meal selection. Although I’ve had trips with RUCs not reticketed until online checkin didn’t work, and I was able to pre-select a week out.

2. There is some sort of block on flights involving DTW until the catering issue is sorted out. Strange for going TO DTW, but still a possibility.

3. Lastly, go to Flight Information and see if you can view pre-select options for your flight. If so, find the appropriate SSR code and call the DM line to see if they can add the code into your PNR. Example PBML indicates a beef meal, PCML indicates a chicken meal, etc.

The Neo sadly doesn’t have pre-select due to lack of oven space for all passengers to select a hot meal, so one must roll the dice onboard on those.
