Stay in October 2024
After 2 nights at a Japanese hotel in Asahikawa with a tiny room, we did a last minute reservation at the Hilton Niseko Village for an off season rate of 29,000 points. There were far more pros to this hotel than cons. The pros: Upgraded to a room on the 16th floor overlooking Mount Yotei, recognized as a Diamond member and provided 2 free drinks and appetizers at the Melt Restaurant as well as a bottle of wine, chocolates and fruit in our room, onsen was very nice, free self-service expresso machine in the lobby, gym was roomy and provided a nice workout early in the morning, and amazing breakfast buffet with an incredible and diverse Western and Asian spread including eel and rice, great smoked salmon, and Hokkaido ice cream. As a nice touch, we were provided a take away bag of home made cookies each time we left the Melt restaurant. The cons: tiny outdated bathroom, 4 out of 5 restaurants were shut down in late October, and gym had limited equipment. We were pleased with the restaurant at the Nikko Village which was a short 5 minute car ride away. All in all, a positive stay with exceptional service from the staff.
