Ideally, we would all have expiration dates fall in 2030 to keep it simple for future renewals. If kid 1's birthday is in January, should we enroll her now or wait until after her birthday if we want her renewal date to fall in Jan. 2030? In my mind, if we enroll her after her birthday, her renewal would fall to Jan. 2031? Is that correct?
You are eligible to apply to renew your Global Entry membership 364 days prior to its expiration date. The renewal will be then valid for five years from the previous expiration date. Thus, if your daughter's membership were to expire on January 15, 2031, you will be eligible to apply to renew her GE as soon as January 16, 2030.
