I actually had not paid attention until you pointed it out.
No idea what their logic is, but it seems they've been crediting the actual distance flown on LX for tier points - even when the flights have been in First. That is odd, but they have been consistent in that all 12 flights I flew on LX in First over the last year have yielded 1 x tier points.
On the other hand, tier points on Air Canada flights have been credited at 1.25 (in Business).
And AI in First is exponentially higher than LX in First even for a relatively similar distance (11,745 tier points against 4,064). That's after the April changes - not sure what the difference was before because I can't access anything past a year from today.
(For me though, the tier point thing hasn't made a difference, because I'm already at nearly double of what was needed to meet their new re-qual criteria for Platinum / Maharaja. But yes, there's something amiss in their logic. Just add it to the already long laundry list of things amiss when it comes to AI and logic I suppose).
