Correctly so.

Traveling on EI metal (regardless of flight number) does not get you access based on AA elite status. AC membership is meaningless.

If travelling on EI metal - access is based on being in business class or having EI status.

This lounge isn't a OneWorld lounge.

Editorial: I was in that lounge yesterday. Missing it isn't much to complain about.
