Not BA, but I don’t think this matters so I will share. I was recently flying with Air India from a small regional airport to Delhi. The gate area was a bit of a mush and the gate staff called up business class passengers, those with disabilities and children, etc all in one go, while also asking people in certain row numbers to join the queue and wait (a bit of a crazy system leading to a scrum). It was a bit of a log jam, so I went down the side of the queue, as I could not get through any other way, and showed my boarding card to the gate staff saying “business class?” in a querying tone. She invited me straight through and to the front of the queue. This prompted two other chaps who were travelling together and already at the front of the queue protest and exclaim “we are business too”. Of course I apologised saying I could not make myself known any other way due to the crazy boarding area and when invited to start boarding I offered them to go first, but they declined so on I went first.
Once on board the aircraft I took 1A and then saw the two chaps walk past me, increasing in speed, towards the economy section.
I think they were
on business, flying in economy, whereas I was on business, flying
in business. Well… it made me chuckle anyway
