AC1913 YYZ -YLW diverted to YVR due to high cross winds. When we started to drive around the airport i got suspicious that the crew would time out, not my first rodeo. No communication from the flight deck, so I emailed the conceige as we were touring the apron. She called me a few minutes later and told me what was happening. Some passengers were finding out other flights were landing in YLW? We remaind onboard at the gate waiting to see if we had and go, but no fuel truck came and the flight was cancelled. A bit of a gong show, hotels and meals were provided and before i left the aircraft i asked if they timed out and they said yes. AC messaged later confirmed the same. Lucky me i got the sandman in Richmond for a 3.25 sleep, now enjoying breakfast in the MLL and catching the early flight to YLW. AC1993 is now delayed to 12:30 which was AC1913. As i did a day trip to ATL I have no bags so no change of clothes. Gong show waiting for our vouchors, but two great conceige agents working hard looking after us five SE.
