Can I check my bags from MCI to IPL? I will take my bags out at SCL to go through Chilean customs/immigrations at SCL
Curious how this went and if they will check the bag through? I have a similar scenario and curious if Delta will check through to my final destination (IGU):

Ticket 1: paid First from SAT to LAX, purchased and operated by Delta
Ticket 2: reward Business from LAX to GRU, issued by Alaska and operated by LATAM
Ticket 3: paid premium economy from GRU to IGU, paid and operated by Latam (I know at a minimum I will need to pickup and drop off bag in GRU for customs, but pickup/drop is much easier than pickup and re-checkin at the ticket counter)

According to Delta’s policy, it seems like they would through check given it is LATAM, but I wasn’t sure given a) it involves 3 tickets (rather than 2), and b) the second flight is an Alaska award ticket (vs. directly booked with LATAM).

Also, if it makes any difference, I am Platinum with Delta.

Thanks in advance!
