I booked economy (L CLASS) on Ethiopian airlines. A few days before flight, I received email to bid for upgrade to business class. I made a bid for $1200 which was accepted and received a z class business seat. After completing the flight, I only received 500 PQP (max for economy) not the 1000 PQP I was expecting for business class. Is this right. I would expect that a paid upgrade to z class would be a z class ticket for points. I understand that a points upgrade or complimentary upgrade would not count. What are the rules on this.
