For travel from the US yes Tsawwassen ferry to Nanaimo (Duke Point) is almost certainly the fastest if your destination is Tofino.
Be aware that it doesn't often snow on lower elevation Vancouver Island but when it does everything grinds to a halt. This typically resolves quickly. Risk of snow is most pronounced in January / February.
The last stretch of highway from Port Alberni to Tofino is receiving some upgrades. This is also the most dangerous part of the road. Recommend ensuring you are driving in daylight in clear weather.
sounds like you’re talking abou5 Seattle when it snows! I definitely don’t drive at night and my car has AWD and three peak tires. Thanks for the advice!
