Eh, it's worth looking. With some persistence, it does sometimes appear. I flew LH YVR-FRA-VIE and AF MUC-CDG-YVR this past July - 3 seats, all saver-level awards. In both cases, there was a 4th seat in inventory from what I could tell. But I kind of enjoy the process and am pretty persistent with it - I definitely didn't find these on the first try.

My advice to OP - it's harder to find the return flight from Europe than the outbound. Both will be challenging, but my advice is to be flexible with your dates, and if you find a return flight, take it and base your start date around it. This may not always be true, but it has been for me almost every trip I've planned.
