Possibly my favorite and only best benefit as United Gold (ie what one gets for the million Mile accomplishment) was flying economy to / within Europe via FRA and then enjoying access to LH SEN lounge in FRA. Even flying UA business only granted access to SEN with UA Gold (*A Gold equivalent) since SEN is technically like a F lounge and Lh had separate “business” status lounge that was rightfully not as great as SEN. So if you’re at lifetime 700k and you plan to fly globally for another 10-20 plus years, then definitely go for that 1M status. Once I realized that I flew globally enough and that parenthood wouldn’t allow budget for further global travel, I became a free agent - 2 years after my final global trip with UA (and their LH partner).
