I do find it interesting that the free bag benefit only applies to the primary cardholder... basically the opposite of the Alaska Visa benefit. Be sure to pay attention to whose name you check the bag under.
I don't think it's the opposite, just different. AS card allows:
Free checked bag for any cardholder and up to 6 guests on the same reservation when you pay for your flight with your card –
that's a savings of $70 per person roundtrip.
