I’m not sure if Emirates is cutting back, but on my upcoming flight to the UK (EK29), there’s only one meal service in business class. Previously, there used to be lunch after takeoff followed by a snack before landing, but now it’s just lunch.
On my EK11 coming Saturday (in J obviously as this is a 2 class rotation), there are ‘light bites’ after takeoff (02:45 local time) and breakfast before landing (07:20 BST). As I usually do on this flight, I’ll skip the light bites (I come in on a 00:40 flight from CPT) and go straight to sleep. I have pre-ordered my breakfast.
So there it’s still 2 meals.
It’s a bit of an ‘abnormal’ service anyway, last time I was given an amenity kit which is unusual for a 7 hour flight in J. But no ‘loungewear’, which would be appropriate for an overnight flight.
