Flying PHX-LAX on DL with a 5.5 hour layover before an SQ flight out of TBIT. Split tickets. Checked bags. Even if there were an interline agreement, I'm not going to do it. I had a very horrible experience with interlining through LAX.

Can anyone explain how this connection will go? It looks as though Terminal 3 and TBIT are pretty close. Just retrieve baggage, and make a short walk to check in with SQ at TBIT? Can I take a cart if I need one? It looks pretty straightforward to me, but don't know LAX very well so just want to be sure. Thanks!
