Hi, I'd like everyone's thought on this scenario. Yesterday wife and I flew BA006 Haneda to Heathrow, we departed on time ,in fact a few minutes early but we arrived 57 minutes late. This was put down to strong headwinds and ATC shifting the arrival runway so ended up being offloaded from our onward flight to Edinburgh and put onto the first flight this morning . Now the thing is our original flight departure was also delayed meaning that we would have made the connection as it was the same time gap between Tokyo arrival and Edinburgh for both original and delayed flights.
I'd like to ask the forum's opinion on whether this would qualify for U.K.261 as the time difference was nearly 10 hours. For further information this was sold directly as a single PNR by BA

Thanking everyone in advance for your considered opinions.
