Well, I was another one who made the mistake of booking my trip to HKT on BA metal (via KUL)

I have a very deliberate strategy to avoid BA operated flights and instead booking JAL or AY - as BA has been too unreliable, too many delays and cancellations. Just too much risk flying BA metal.

I only book the minimum number of BA flights to renew my status, that is it.

Thankfully that booking was a BAH booking so I just cancelled in full and treated ourselves to J on AY.
