And French Polynesia and Anguilla and Thailand and . . . most countries actually, unless you opt for a private island resort though, as Macmyday says, some can be invaded by yachties or even day-tripping snorkelers, as was the case at Mnemba. The last time I was on Mahe we rented a car for a few days and we did wander into the Banyan Tree, admired the 'hanging pool' and swam from 'their' beach. We were staying at Fisherman's Cove on Beau Vallon (for old time's sake as we stayed there in the early 1980s) and there were rubber neckers there, too. And loads of Russians who seem to have annexed the Seychelles.
