Garden route - George is a nice town, so is Plettenberg Bay. PLZ is highly missable, so is Mossel Bay. Cape Agulhas is both underwhelming and a lovely spot all at the same time.

Cape Town - lots of people love it but I'm not the biggest fan. The Cape of Good Hope is worth the drive, and don't miss the much recommended but worth it Chapman's Peak Drive. I really like Muizenberg.
What is the ideal auto tour that you do recommend then for 13nights? You don't seem a big fan of those tourist areas to say the least . I can understand you since you are often there!

My mom's birthday is at the beginning of November. She will receive her 2 guide books and "officially" her tickets at that time but I will have to advise her (thanks to you) and give her some leeway in choosing "her" activities.

After your relevant post, it appears that Kruger might seem the best option. So two loops with a car shall concentrate our studies:

- One near the Panorama route/Kruger and,
- One around Cape Town and Vineyards.

If you would suggest time to spend, on those 2 areas, how should you split it on? Also if you were to show the Big Five to a total beginner ( a Samsung phone camera), which part or the Kruger might be the best?

Again, many thanks for the answers!
