The next time anyone flies to the Canary Islands see if you can pick up a bottle of Arehucas rum, especially the 18yo one (don't go for the 15yo or for the most expensive option either). I cannot remember rum tasting this good in years.

I even did the tour of the distillery in Gran Canaria (a tourist attraction but an interesting one) and that was a good experience too... including sampling all their products. Make sure you bring a dedicated driver with you because there's no way you can sit behind the steering wheel after doing the tour...
