I loved my stay at the JW Bucharest - a truly great hotel! Here are my impressions and photos:

Pros:

• Upgraded to a Senator Suite before arrival, which was a nice suite with lots of furniture
• Bed was fantastic - medium-plush just-right mattress, plush pillows, covers of decent plushness - slept very well
• AC was very effective and would go down to 16 - even I had to turn up the heat once
• Staff was exceedingly friendly
• Welcome gift of delicious desserts
• Lounge was great - nice afternoon desserts, evening service had some delicious bread which was great when dipped in the blue cheese salad dressing (lol)
• Offered either restaurant breakfast or lounge breakfast - restaurant breakfast was delicious with a great omelet, very tasty and buttery pancakes, amazing cappuccinos - service from Namik was delightful and he even brought over a fruit plate to welcome me to Romania
• Had to ask, but was able to get 3 PM late checkout as I requested
• ATM in lobby mall did not charge me any fees

Neutral:

• While shower pressure was strong enough, the amount of water felt a bit spaced out due to hole placement

Cons:

• Location is a bit far for walking (though, I did walk 50 minutes to Centrale Pizza and 50 minutes back at night)

I would definitely come back.
