If EK allowed a connection of one hour, then there would be someone to meet them there, so no need for compensation, as EK ensure they make the flight. If the inbound is late, or EK change their mind, EK rebook for free.
EK won’t compensate people because they can’t find a gate when there’s ample time to do so. Suggest flying a western carrier if that’s the expectation.
I haven't had such a short connection with EK in Dubai. Mine have always been quite a bit longer. Being met by someone is a good solution. I certainly have no expectation that an airline will compensate me if I can't find a gate when there is ample time to do so (e.g. hours) including a lack of huge queues to wait in if security must be passed.
