I have FB platinum status and booked a KLM flight from AMS to Taoyuan airport TPE, which uses a China Airlines codeshare on the return. It's an overnight flight in economy, so seating would be quite. I cannot choose a seat in the KLM reservation. In the China Airlines app I can log in with ticket number and see the flight, but when I try to go to seat selection it acts as if the booking could not be found. Interestingly, on KLM the CI flight number is shown, and on China Air it shows the KL flight number. Anyways, is there any experience on how to get to choose a seat on this flight before I show up at the airport and nothing useful is left? And if so, can I expect any of the FB Platinum benefits for the selection? Thanks!
