I had my best hotel stay in the world at the siam kempinski 2023 and will now return back to it. Last year I tried the Sindhorn and while the hotel and service is great, I was kind of disappointed about the upgrade policy. They told me while I got upgraded to the executive suite, I will not receive any benefits. They told me that's the new policy in all Kempinskis.
Anyone can confirm? Because I booked the premium room at the siam kempinski and have GHA Titanium which, if available, should upgrade me even above executive. I wonder if the siam will handle it the same. I don't see why upgrading to executive room is an upgrade then, it's the same room as premium without any benefits.
My experience with GHA Discovery is that recognition is EXTREMELY uneven. The middle tier brands like NH are fully on-board but in the high-end like Capella and Kempinski some hotels have barely heard of it. Don't base your bookings on GHA affiliation.
