I'm not optimistic about the help at the LAX office but that's what I'm being told to do:

It is in our best interest to protect your account from fraudulent transactions, and hereby kindly request that you to personally visit our closest Qatar Airways Office with your passport, one government ID and a copy of this email.

Please visit us at your earliest convenience to verify this transaction. Our Qatar Airways offices are located thru the link below"

(By the way, my account is locked and I was told by Privelege Club when I called to expect an email - I thought it would be like Iberia where I had to send in a copy of my passport).
